August Office Hours
In August, we will have limited phone and office hours. Shipments will go out Tuesdays and Fridays. You can reach us via phone on those days from 10 am to 3 pm California time or leave a message and we will return your call. You can email us any time and we will answer usually within 24 hours. Make Your Own Sale with Bonus Points:
If you have ever purchased anything from our shop using your Member Profile**, you have Bonus Points. Usually you have to have 100 points to redeem them, but for the rest of this month I have lowered that limit to 1. So anyone who has one bonus point or more can redeem them for a gift certificate. Of course the more you have the greater the Gift Certificate. To Redeem:
- Log into your account. If you have difficulty email me and I will reset your password for you. I will check the emails through out the weekend.
- In the Right Column, click on bonuses. It will tell you how many points you have.
- Follow the prompts to exchange your points. You will then be issued a gift certificate number via email.
- Place an order using Gift Certificate as the method of payment. Enter in your code exactly. If you copy and paste make sure you do not copy any spaces. Click submit order. It will apply the certificate towards your balance.
- You will get a message that states there is "not enough to pay for your order, please select another method of payment." Select and enter in your credit card information. Click "submit order" again.
**Bonus points are not issued to anonymous users. You must be a Member with a user name and password. If you are not sure about your log-in information, email me and I will get back to you during business hours or try to retrieve the information via our website.
 Important News for FabShop Gift Certificate Winners
If you have been a winner of one of the Gift Certificates from the Fab Shop Hop this year and have been unable to redeem the certificate, we will still honor the certificates. The code that the Fab Shop Hop assigns you is incompatible with our gift certificate system. To get around it, go ahead and place your order and put your certifcate number and month (if known if not just a note that you are a winner and we will verify) in the customer comments during the check out process. We will double check on our list of winners and substract the amount from your balance. The amount of $10 or $20 can be applied to your entire balance, including shipping. If your order, including shipping, is under your gift certificate amount, then check out using "credit card via phone" so you do not have to provide a credit card number. If your order is over the gift certiifcate amount, please supply us with a method of payment.
Avoiding Unwanted Emails
Even though, I have not sent an email in the last few months, I wanted to address the concept of s-p-a-m with you. Many of our email programs come with a button that when pushed makes an email go into a special folder named S P A M or junk. This makes it very convenient for us, because it gets rid of all our extra mail.
What you may not know is that when that button is pushed it sends a message to your internet provider such as Hotmail, AOL, Yahoo, ATT, etc that you are being spammed. It gets logged in as a complaint and if too many complaints are made they person who sent you an email will get their IP address blocked. Once this happens the sender is black-listed and their whole business is affected. Unlike the court system it is not innocent until proven guilty, it is guilty until proven innocent. It is very hard to get un-black-listed. Many times the only way is to move your whole website to another provider.
As you go through the Fab Shop Hops and other games in the web, do not sign up for emails that you do not want. Or if that is the only way to get registered for a prize, unsubscribe yourself from the mailing list when you get the first email.
Please be kind to the Quilt shops that you love and don't make doing business any harder than necessary by reporting them as S P A M M E R S. A simple unsubscribe will do the trick. Click here if you would like to be removed from our lists.
