Quick Poll - Favorite Fabric Manufacturer
Synopsis: We all love fabric, but do we have a favorite? In a Quick Poll that we did from June 4, 2010 to July 1, 2010, our readers sure declared their favorite loud and clear.

We all love fabric, but do we have a favorite? In a Quick Poll that we did from June 4, 2010 to July 1, 2010, our readers sure declared their favorite loud and clear. Benartex was the clear winner of the question, "Who is your favorite fabric manufacturer?" 457 people responded to our survey. Benartex got 236 votes followed by Moda with 84 votes, "I don't care as long as it is under $5 /yd" with 62 votes, and Robert Kaufman with 28 votes. I personally was very surprised at the results being so heavy to one quilting fabric manufacturer. But who cares who made the fabric, lets just get it and start quilting!

| Ronna Ross (Owner) | I would have thought Moda would win too. If for no other reason the massive amounts they produce. P&B was my favorite when I started in this business. I liked almost every line of theirs, but I haven't ordered from them in a couple of seasons. I just don't like the prints. Their quality however is always there. I love the feel of their fabric. Two companies that I also love their fabric are In the Beginning and Exclusively Quilters. For small companies, I love their designs and the feel of their fabric. I hope they never get too big. I love that they do a few lines each year and do them very well. Clothworks is another that holds true to that formula. These comments are meant to dist the others. I think they are all great companies. I would be honored to design for any of them.

| Dale Shafer | I'm shocked at the results, even though I do love Benartex fabric. I would have expected Moda to win, even though my personal favorite is P & B! What about a poll for all time favorite fabric - Marbles, Dimples, Fossil Fern, Aunt Grace, Fusions, etc. I think these results would be interesting, too. Dec 24, 2010 05:01:46 PM |
