GFC Store Policies

The terms, policies and conditions described below govern the use of the web site known as www.GFCquilting.com. Your use and/or placement of any order indicates your acceptance of these “Conditions.”

Our Fabrics:

Our fabrics are Grade A 100% cotton and 40 to 45 inches wide unless otherwise noted in the item description. Please note that when fabrics have been washed, they can shrink down to 38" although most shrink only 5% or so. Keep shrinkage and the waste caused by straightening cuts in mind when ordering proper yardage for patterns.

We are not responsible for errors in patterns or your cutting. However, if a pattern does include an error, please contact us or the designer directly so that corrections can be made.

Security

Security issues are of major importance for us. Any fraudulent activity directed to ordering on our site or stealing any of our Member's information will be reported and followed up on to insure conviction. Our site is protected with a private SSL, 256 bit encryption — both on-line and off, daily scans to detect hackers and fraud protection software.

HACKER SAFE certified sites prevent over 99.9% of hacker crime.

Out of Stock, Backordered, and End of Bolt Items:

For your convenience, any notion, pattern and book not in stock will be backordered and shipped as soon as it arrives. Sometimes it takes up to 4 weeks to receive our shipment. Shipping costs will still apply as normal. If you receive an invoice with a backordered item and do not want this service, please contact us. Also note, that if your invoice states OUT OF STOCK, your item has not been backordered and will not be delivered to you unless you reorder.

For our fabrics, we do our best to complete your order in its entirety. We also try to keep all quantities listed on the website up-to-date. Due to phone orders, trade shows, shortages from the manufacturer, and fast moving items, discrepancies happen. If we are short yardage, we will send what we have and adjust your bill accordingly. If we are at the end of the bolt and have less than one yard left on the bolt, we will add it to your order provided it is proportion to your order. For example: If you order up to a yard, we will not send a whole yard or even 18" in addition to your order. If we have 10" or less then we would most likely add it to your order. However, if you have ordered 5 yards and we have 30" left on the bolt, we might add it to your order if we think you are trying to order all that we have.

We take this policy as a case-by-case situation and try to anticipate the desires of the customer. Although we try to anticipate your needs and desires by the above policy, it is always better if you can communicate your desires to us. With each fabric order you have the option to supply notes and tell us if you will accept up to so much more available yardage or if you want exact yardage only.

Shipping

Contiguous United States:

All efforts will be made to ship your order within 3 business days. Grace Full Creations will calculate your shipping charges based on the weight and size of the package. All shipping charges shown on the site are approximations and are subject to change at the time of packaging. Changes will depend on the weight, size, and zone of the package. We do not profit from shipping costs and do not charge handling charges.

We will always attempt to ship the least expensive way possible unless you have stated you want a faster delivery. Next Day, Two Day, or 3-Day air shipments are available upon request. Customers are responsible to pay for all shipping charges. We keep our prices down on our products and research the best shipping prices for each package so that our customers benefit from online purchases. In general, final shipping costs are identical to those quoted on the cart or less. When possible, we will also use flat-rate shipping containers to lower final shipping costs.

** Special Note on Flat Rate Envelopes:

In January 2011, the USPS started changing their policy on how much can be shipped within the Flat Rate Envelope. In has been our general practice to ship up to 6 yards within the envelope, although some shops have gone up to 8 yards. Now, packages are being delivered to customers with postage due if the Flat Rate Envelope is too thick.

The USPS does not stipulate in their package preparation instructions a thickness limit. It just states that the package must be sealed with the package glue strip and that the sides cannot be opened. It seems to be up to the individual post offices and the discretion of individual employees as to whether additional charges are applied.

Due to this change, I have changed my policy and will not ship over 4 yards within a Flat Rate Envelope. I hope that will not cause additional charges to be charged to the customer. If a package that has been sent to you does get an up-charge, please photograph the package and the receipt for the amount you paid extra and I will issue you store credit.

If you insist that I break this policy and ship over 4 yards you are doing it at your own risk and all packages that are refused and/or not claimed will receive no refund or credit for shipping costs and product costs.

As of February 23, 2009, we have instituted the following policy on all orders:

  • All packages over $25 will have insurance added to the shipment. Insurance starts at 75¢ for <$100 and goes up 75¢ for every $150 after that.

  • All packages over $100 must be signed for. I know this will cause you to take an extra step by signing a form or being there upon its arrival, but it will reduce the chance of the postal carrier just leaving a valuable package. This fee is $1.80.

With these two policies in place, we guarantee that if lost or stolen during transit, that the products are replaced or appropriate substitutions are made if fabrics are no longer in-stock. If appropriate substitutions are not available, store credit will be issued for the value of the products plus shipping. No reimbursements will be made directly to your card.

Both of these services can be added per the customer's request for packages below the automatic threshold. If you would like to add either of these features to your package, please email us after you place your order.

If you do not want these charged to your package, you can email me after you place your order and I will not add it. This will void the guarantee and you will be solely responsible for your packages. No items will be credited, replaced or otherwise, if lost, stolen, or damaged once they are placed out for shipping.

Please also note, that the prices quoted are subject to change according to the USPS shipping costs. For some areas, Fed Ex will be used because the prices are lower than the US Post Office. Hint: to lower prices even more, provide us a non-residential U.S. shipping address. This lowers the costs about $2.00 per package.

International Orders:

We currently ship to all international customers. We will do our best to ship your order at a reasonable rate. Please let us know of any tips that would assist your order to go through customs without delay. We will not misrepresent any order on the customs form by marking it as "gift" etc. We believe shipping internationally is a privilege and we will not risk losing that privilege.

We reserve the right not to ship to any country. Each order will be taken on a case by case situation. Tracking, insurance and signature confirmation will be placed on all orders over $25 if available for international packages. We do not profit from shipping costs and do not charge handling charges. Customers are responsible to pay for all shipping charges. We keep our prices down on our products and search for the best shipping prices so that our customers benefit from online purchases.

If you live near Visalia, California and would prefer to pick up your order to save on shipping costs, please indicate your wishes by emailing us and we will contact you when your order is ready.

Methods of Payment

Credit Cards:

We accept the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. We do not charge an additional surcharge for the credit card transaction. Please be sure to provide your exact billing address and telephone number (i.e. the address and phone number your credit card bank has on file for you). We will also need the Security code located on the back of the card for Discover, Visa, and MasterCard; and on the front for American Express. Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Your credit card will be billed prior to the shipment of your order.

Credit Card Logos

Personal Checks or Money Orders:

Personal checks (California, US banks only) or money orders (drawn on US banks only) may be sent to Grace Full Creations, PO Box 6159, Visalia, CA 93290-6159. All orders paid by personal check or Money Orders will not be shipped until the check is cashed and cleared. This could take up to four weeks depending on the bank. Please wait until your order is cut and all items available is verified before sending in any payment.

There will be a $50 fee on all returned checks, whether or not your order was shipped. Once a check has been returned, we will be unable to accept checks from you again.

Lay-a-Way:

For your convenience, any order over $100 may be placed on a three month lay-a-way. To activate the lay-a-way option find the LAY-A-WAY product number under Gifts.

Placing this item in your cart will work as a flag to bill your card in thirds - Lay a Way Plan

  1. 1/3 at the time of the order;

  2. 1/3 at the end (20th) of the following month;

  3. 1/3 plus shipping the following 20th of the month after that.

Your products will be shipped after all 3 payments are processed.

Lay-a-way Terms: Items are not returnable once shipped. If order is cancelled after order assembly, but prior to shipping, all funds previously charged will be forfeited by the customer as a restocking fee. Once your order has been cut, you will receive an invoice (with the GFC logo) stating the final amount (not counting shipping costs). Please ignore all automated order confirmations. On the third payment, shipping will be added and include insurance and Signature Confirmation. After receipt of the third payment, your order will be shipped. NO Additional fees for this service will be charged. The $1 listed as the product cost will not be charged to your card. This is just one of the many services we provide our valuable customers.

Returns and Refunds:

NO Returns/Refunds after 15 days.
NO Returns without prior authorization - Call 559-738-1177 for authorization number.
NO Returns/Refunds on books, patterns, jewelry or computer software.
There is a 20% restocking fee for return of cut fabric.**
The original (or a copy) invoice/packing slip must accompany the return. We expect the merchandise returned in the same condition as you received it (excluding any wrapping, etc.) If you plan to return any fabric, please keep it in a smoke-free environment. **Material returned with smoke and/or other odors will incur an additional 50% restocking fee.

Returns will be given in the same manner as payment was received. If payment was made using a credit card, a credit will be issued to the same account number. If payment was made with a money order/cashiers check, a refund check will be mailed. Any credit less than $10 will be given as store credit.

If the return is due to an error on the part of Grace Full Creations, the refund will include the amount of purchase for the returned item and the shipping costs in getting the item back to us. If the return is for any other reason, the shipping costs are the responsibility of the sender. No package will be accepted sent “collect” or “postage due”.

Order Acceptance Policy:

Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. Grace Full Creations reserves the right to accept or decline your order for any reason or to supply less than the quantity you ordered of any item. If we decide to not accept your order or if we do not have adequate stock to fill your order, we will contact you via email or phone to inform you of our decision.

Taxes:

Sales tax is charged for all addresses within the State of California according to the tax rate of the address to which it is going.
