This Pink Chocolate Collection designed by Nancy Gere for Windham Fabrics commemorates several European designs from 1875.

About the Fabric:
The "mourning browns" were a popular color chosen by widows to wear after the traditional "mourning black" period was completed. In the nineteenth century, the rich browns became the forefront of European fashion as Indian hand painted cottons were imported to Europe. As a result, we began to see brown combined with the lively colors of red and pink emerging as a trend in Europe in the late 1800's.
